Windows 10 start menu won't open

Vista? Really? I've heard that Vista has a lot of compatibility issues. That's the reason they did Windows 8. I have Windows 7 currently and I like it, but if you get a new computer they're going to preload it with Windows 8.1 or 10. Now I'm thinking of building my own and loading it with Windows 7.

 I don't think he was suggesting to get Vista. It's long gone, retired and forgotten, except for how lousy it was. I'm pretty sure he was equating Vista to Win 8.1 in terms of bugginess.

I have 8.1, no desire to move to Win 10. It does what I want, hasn't given me any grief.

Win 8 / 8.1 was problematic for a lot of people, like Windows Vista - the biggest annoyance - no start button

I have 10 on 4 computers with no issues .... full disclosure, I am still running 7 on my gaming box
