Windows 7

Uninstalled it due to glitches the day after I put it in. I hope it was just my machine that did not like it. Highly doubtful considering mine is less than a year old.

I had a newer machine where the load failed right off the bat. Another machine, older unit, works fine.

It's a Microsoft beta. Always take it with caution. If it farks up your hardware, theres no warranty for you to fall back on. You'd be dishing out of your own pocket.

Never seen software break hardware, unless you use software to over-clock, or load firmware and it disables a device... an O/S, never seen it happen... you just don't have support if something does not work.

Guess it's best to leave it alone then. If it is like switching from XP to Vista, it is too big a pain in the a$$ to reinstall all the programs. At least Vista creates that nice little file and dumps all the .exe files there for you. Still takes a couple or three days to get everything back under the one roof again.

Unless you like loading and reloading O/S's. If you can afford to play around give it a shot... it is OK, but after playing with it for a couple of days I reloaded CentOS on that machine for a test.

Once it comes out in final release, we will buy a few copies and play with it - but we never deploy until after the first Service Pack comes out, we have learned our lessons from over the years. :lmao:

Slapped in onto a Gateway CX2060 convertible tablet, its hard drive crashed last year, and I got normal XP slapped back on, losing the tablet functions, which hasnt been a big deal, since Gateways proprietary pen has croaked, and I hadnt bothered to get a new one yet.

Computers working fine, initial install didnt find the Intel BG wifi, had to get it on the ethernet, then Windows update found and installed it. Seems fine so far.
