Winter Storm Watch 12-7-05

We lost power for 12 hours in that ice storm. We had the power inverter on Cableguys bucket truck running our TV and we had a coleman lantern lighting up the house .... I'm suprised we didn't get people busting down our door!!

Friends down the street were w/o power for 3 weeks!

I was so desperate to wash my hair, I went to a salon when I didn't even need a hair cut.

We had to drive in that shiat to Roanoke VA to pay my last respects to my father. We did a 360 on 460 and it scared the crap out of all of us!!!

I'm wishing for snow..........

I'm having a senior moment and can't remember the street. But it was a neighborhood in between the main drag that runs in front of the mall and Harris Teeter store on the street behind them..... I know that doesn't help much...... OH!!! forest hill ave.

smowdrops keep fallin' on my head
And just like the gal whose boobs are too big for her bra
Nothin' seems to fit
Those smowdrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those smowdrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

But there's one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

smowdrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the smow by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me
Not even the..

smow, smow, smow…

no. I grew up on LI. The folks moved there when he retired about 1980 or so. He had family there although he is from W. Va.

Everyone, please be careful on your commute home... it's already getting bad.
