Wireless router

In My Opinion
cant go wrong with Linksys, they are a Cisco product and depending on the level of control you want, they pretty much have all the same features of the Cisco at a fraction of the price.

On my second linksys wireless router...

The first one is still running, I gave it to a buddy that is stuck with DSL... I just wanted more speed, IPV6 compliance and more signal strength... Counting the printer which I have direct connected to the router, I have over 20 devices in the house set to the wifi...

No problems with a $40 Netgear from Walmart, it even has a wifi on/off button that still allows it to work as a regular (non wireless) router.

I just installed a Netgear Wireless AC Gigabit Router after having range issues. It was costly but it has solved our streaming and range problems. Too bad the wireless technology connecting to it isn't able to take total advantage of the gigabit speeds just yet but it will come in time.

Wirelessly posted (Samsung Galaxy S III )

Gigabit connection does nothing for most home users since your internet speed is only 10-20 mb.

Surely you jest ...
Got a Netgear for my grandsons laptop. It sucks me dry, slowed down my desktop almost to stop. Test still comes up in high 12's, but its slow as hell. In layman's terms please (my computer knowledge wouldn't fill a thimble) can someone tell me WHY?? Had I known I wouldn't have hooked it up for him. :(

It'll come about 2 wireless routers from now. I wouldn't count on it while you have that one.

Then again, when I got my 4G phone everyone was saying St Mary's wouldn't get 4G til late 2013 and I showed them!

Regarding the router question, I'd check ratings. To be honest, most of them seem to give different people problems to the point where it's nearly a crapshoot. I doubt Belkin is any worse than any others...I think my mom has had one that's worked great for years. I prefer Linksys and occasionally DLink though.
