“You truly have no idea how women are treated over there so your comparison is disgusting,” one person tweeted. “My husband did 3 tours in the middle east, he can shed some light on the atrocities that occur to women.”
“Hey Bette if you want bully people into voting the way you want you feel free to move,” another shared.
Another wrote, “Uh. Considering the Iranian women fighting and risking their lives to change things I feel like this is a really bad take.”
“Bette, I’ve been a fan of yours since I was a little girl, and I still am, but these tweets are so alienating,” another person shared. “Do you ever even try to consider why people might believe differently than you do? Maybe try having a conversation with one of these ‘maga women’ you are sneering at.”
One person tweeted, “Guess you haven’t been paying attention! A lot of maga women are running for office. So how about you moving to Iran. They feel the same way you do about people who disagree politically. You would fit in.”
One commenter simply stated, “Stay classy.”
“If this were the other team, it’d be denounced as sexist, racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic, etc,” another person explained.
Another noted that the actress, who proudly calls herself a feminist, should be supporting Iran women.
“Hey Feminist, why aren’t you supporting the women of Iran?” the person wrote. “Those are truly oppressed women, yet they are standing alone.”

I wrote about one actor with a little common sense earlier, Dean Cain. He isn’t afraid to state the simple truth that men are not girls.
Unfortunately, common sense and the courage to use it publicly seem a quality in short supply in Hollywood, which seems more dominated by liberals who go along with whatever the prevailing narrative is.
Instead, it’s more common to see liberal false narratives pushed, as was the case with what Bette Midler tweeted about Kyle Rittenhouse on Friday.
I was not aware that Ms. Midler had any relevance these days.

Most of that crowd doesn't have relevance, but continue to think they do.
Seems too that it's mostly women actresses that pontificate stupid. There are men too, but the majority of them appear to be keeping their mouths shut.

I remember Bette wanting $35 per ticket in 1975 at Meriweather Post pavilion when lawn seats were about 8 bucks. WHFS roasted her so bad that she dropped the price by half. She made hers and is now an authority on greed, she is just another greedy, pompous ****!

Thought I’d comment on the original post.
One - I’m weary of people droning on the size and population of states that Senators represent, as though a Senator from California or New York matter more than one from Wyoming or Alaska. For one thing, it seems to not matter at ALL if it’s a Democrat from Vermont or New Hanpshire. The relevance of Democracy is, as spokesman for their STATE they have an equal voice. The proportional voice of the people is the HOUSE. Not the Senate. Would they feel that larger NATIONS have bigger voices at the U.N.?
But the other one is, the Dems are busting on Manchin because in their minds - the Republicans AND the people who elected them do not matter.There are 100 possible votes on any bill. You know, to pass a bill it’s not impossible to get Republicans to vote for it. The fact that the votes run down party lines shows WHAT THEY ARE DOING isn’t “democratic “.
