I had all mine yanked out, too. I had dry socket in one. I didn't eat anything solid for about a week & 1/2. I didn't smoke. It hurt for awhile ... like maybe 2 weeks. My ears even hurt.
I took the drugs prescribed for me, and I was thankful for them. I tried the OTC pain killers. hahaha. They didn't work.

I had my top two wisdom teeth surgically removed a couple years ago. I think I took one pain pill and didn't eat anything hard for 24 hours, other than that it was no big deal. Especially if they are stitched up.

What really sucks is when you get a tooth out and a hole is left behind. Constantly cleaning it out after every time you eat is a major irritant. I had a molar break down below the gum line a couple months ago. I was rarely as happy as when the thing finally healed over. Now I get to go have it cut open again in a few weeks to get the first stage of an implant put in.

best thing to do; right after you get out of the office; stop by wendys and get a frosty........feels the best and gets something in your stomach before you start getting sick and crap.

jack of all trades
Tylenol with codine :)

Works wonders! Can actually eat burgers after the surgery!

But you will pay for it after the prescription runs out!

I'm back from the wizzy removals (as the tech called it)... I'm in alot of pain and it hurts to swallow or move my jaw... there's swelling on the outside of my jaw about a golf ball soo far :( I've taken two percocets but still am in too much pain to sleep. On the label it says alcohol intesifies the sleepiness... can they both be mixed? If soo I may be desperate enough to try that

 yes it was a warning... but desired side effect is something I definately want right now

That would be the result.

Dems no drinking with Percocet by any means and don't take any extra Tylenol either.

Thanks for all the input throughout this ordeal... Wasn't aware it'd affect kidneys or liver or anything... Its hard to think about ny part of the body right now other than intense pain in my jaw - swelling has gone from golf ball to a peach :frown: I guess I'll have to pass on this instant gratification approach. :frown:

  At least I lucked out a few weeks ago by picking these three days for this procedure. I would hate to be in DC during the viewings and processions and the bad traffic.

So dems... what are your plans for the weekend...

Depends on if I'm feeling better. BF I think is coming up Fri. night to help me get boat ready and bait and reorganize tackle boxes, etc.... Saturday hopefully fishing and then pool shooting with BF, then rigging a new trot line for crabbing early Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon/evening I have a friend from Baltimore coming down to visit. All depending on how I feel though :frown: why?

Tell the truth, you would turn to stone if you were within 5 miles of a great Republican like Regan.
