Authorities did not release the shooting victims' names.
Sheriff's officials say the 43-year-old woman pulled out her .44-caliber Magnum revolver after she saw the mice scurrying across the floor of her trailer on Highway 20 in Potter Valley.
but then the old man might have got his nuts stuck on the trap instead of just getting the brushed with the bullet.tard. glue traps always work for me

Overkill?
As someone who has actually shot vermin in the house, I can attest to the fact I never did it while sober.
Would have been funnier if the headline read "Woman shoots mouse while trying to kill herself"
I have a friend who damn near killed herself trying to "gas a mouse". She had one caught in a sticky trap. She felt awful that it was suffering so she had the genius idea to put the trap in a paper bag, then put the paper bag over the exhaust pipe of her car. She didn't take into consideration that the car was still in the garage and the garage was attached to the house. She started up the car and went back inside and totally forgot about the mouse. A couple hours later she started getting a headache and the lightbulb finally went on.
She did succeed in killing the mouse though.
