Hey, we got something even you land-bound bunch in Hughesville don't get....

Ridge Volunteer Fire Department - St. Mary's County Company 4

AND, if the call is close to the river, maybe they should consider using handlines from the shore and a boat for fire operations. AHEM, Ridge.

Better careful out there on your boat, with the ice or you may end up like Marbury's boat (airboat) on the bottom of the Potomac.

Had a house fire maybe 6-7 years back on Meandering Dr. off of Woodville Rd. house sat off the road and had fire showing when the trucks started arriving. All of a sudden, sounded like firecrackers going off, guy had over 1,000 rounds of ammo all types, the firefighters had to evacuate the area, until it calmed down, big house just about burnt to the ground about $700,000 loss. Sat there for over 6 hours on the ambo. We cleared the fire like 1am in the morning and damn if we didnt get dispatched to a sick call on the way back to the firehouse.

I heard their Airboat got stuck, didn't know it sank. Is it out, or did they just leave it there?
There was a call in California about five years ago for the working shed fire. Bay District got on the scene, started attacking the fire, and one of the firefighters got shot in the arm. Sounded like PG County for a minute.

The two crews members on the boat got hoisted up into Trooper 7, and they left the boat, it has since gone under.
