WTF Progressive?

I drop a rider from the policy and it goes up a bit. Why? Less riders equals less chances of accidents right?
I drop from three bikes to two and it increases by $30 a year! I'm afraid to sell the other one now and drop down to one bike. I think I'll buy about 6 junkers and insure them and keep them in a pile out in back. I won't register them though, just get a title.

Since my bike was just loaded up in a trailer and taken to it's new home in Frederick....I will allow you to add me to your policy and ride your other bike

No need to thank me....it's what friends do

Already sold? Cool. Also not so cool. Ah well. Can you insure an unregistered bike? I gotta check this. I got a moped in the garage that I feel I need to insure.
