Most, if not all, of their oil business is carried out at Kharg Island, an offshore pumping station. Hitting that would just about cripple the oil business, but at what cost to the Persian Gulf.

I don't know if I necessarily buy this argument. We have quite a few examples of countries with weak, incompetent, or "puppet" leaders and a strong military. Usually the military is calling the show. Even if that isn't the case here, that's what most of these places are used to dealing with. Not a big deal if you think you are the big dog and actually want a fight, but Iran would need to be insane to think that about the US.
Iran has been coddled since Carter, with a few years of conservative leadership they quieted down a notch. Now they know the vegetable in the Whitehouse is not going to do anything to deter them. It's open season folks.

Iran has more power and strength than ever before, but they are still a pissant country by comparison. So, I believe they are merely a puppet. They are antagonizing us via proxies on behalf of a power country or partnership of countries that want us to cause a full out war with Iran. The moment we have our own warfront in full assault, the adversaries behind the curtain will hit us bigtime. We are so ill prepared and have such meek leadership, we will drop to our knees.

It's nationwide. I still can't believe a bunch of illegals nearly beat an NYPD cop to death and got released with no bail - and last report, they're on a bus to California. We have a whole nation where if a store gets robbed, people trying to STOP THE ROBBERS will be fired. Where mobs ransack and rob stores, and the cops do nothing - because they're not risking life and limb while the courts do nothing.
And part of me wonders - is crime down - because no one is getting arrested?
But the nation we live in is - gosh, don't hit Iran, you might make them mad. Because NOBODY FEARS if you hit the United States, you might make THEM mad.

We are pouring billions in cash and hardware into corrupt Ukraine Alining With China, exporting millions of barrels of oil daily as China ignores economic sanctions from hte west, mostly the US. As Russian relations with the west deterioriats Iran has engaed in some high level meetings in Moscow and significantly upgraded military, economic, and energy cooperation. Iran was been invited to join BRICS further insulating them from western sanctions.
Now is the time for Iran to use its Proxies to start taking bite out of Western Interests ... Houthi's attacking shipping this will have an affect on western economies [ as far as I know Chinese Shipping has not been hit yet ] ... Hamas Attacks Israel draining resources

I do not think this is a case of Iran being someone elses puppet , Occom's Razor is working here ... multiple actors working to push America off the world stage as a military leader ... Probably not politically correct to say, but I'm not really concerned with these guys spreading Islam among these countries that already dislike the west. Islam, or at least fundamentalist Islam, is incompatible with technological or societal advancement.
Iran of the 1950s had a lot of very smart engineers and scientists, I know for a fact because several of my college professors in the math and physics departments were Iranian immigrants and they were each brilliant. As Iran embraces the fundamentalist aspects of Islam they will cease to be a threat. Hell, they had to lean on NK of all places to start on their nuke program. That's the retard in the class openly cheating off the idiots test while everyone else including the teacher just shakes their head.
Now think about those 10's of thousands or Syrians spreading globally like fuking roches
