Yahoo Mail
NOTE: Some features are only available to IE users. Netscape and other browsers will not show these options.
After signing in to Yahoo Mail, some general setup items shoukd be done.
Click "Check Email" under "Message Center" on left side of screen
Select "Mail Options" from right-hand side of main toolbar
From " Mail Options Screen " select "General Preferences" (see Personalization)
Under "Forwarding Messages" (Message Actions) select "forward as in-line text"
Under "Replying" (Message Actions) select "include full original message"
Click Save button
Make sure you set plain text signature as the default.
Select "Mail Options" from right-hand side of main toolbar
From " Mail Options Screen " select "Signature" (see Personalization)
If using IE, then next to "Editor" select "Plain"
If using Netscape or other browser, next to "This signature is: " select the "plain text" bullet
Click Save button
When Replying or Forwarding, edit the previous text and remove all footer material before adding your new text.
If using IE (not available in Netscape and other browsers) when in the "Compose" window, make sure "Plain" is selected rather than "Color and Graphics". These two choices are a toggle switch. Clicking on one activates it and turns off the other.
In any browser, also make sure the "Allow HTML tags" checkbox at the bottom is NOT checked.
If you want to add a signature, check the "Add signature" checkbox.
Never uesed Yahoo, but this is how you turn it OFF. I figure this should get you close enough to the "On/off" switch that you can figure it out.
swap over to gmail its great !
You dont get nearly as much spam on gmail, and gmail is so much better than yahoo.... Hands down try it out.. mail.google.com
Ok, nevermind. I just changed the colors again and it's back to normal.
Thanks for the help!
Reboot. Fixes everything.Ok, maybe it's not that the HTML is turned off. Instead of seeing the colors on my email page like I normally do, the whole entire background is white. You know what I mean? I've seen it happen on this forum every now and then, like if the page doesn't load correctly. Only this time, my email is doing it all the time now on this computer. I tried to change the background color, but that didn't help.
You should still get gmail.
Like you have friends....I would, but I've had this one for so long. What if people try to get ahold of me?

psssttt..... you keep both emails.
Automatic forwarding.
Gmail is by far the -best- mail tool out (PCMag '05) and second best product of '05 by PCWorld.
By far, the greatest aspect of it is the ability for replies and forwards of emails to maintain one local location in your client. So if say, your having a conversation with me that turns out to have 57 replies ebtween the two of us, they all "cascade" on top of eachother as opposed to having 57 different emails floating around your inbox.
And with all the other google features, (i.e. calender, chrome, youtube, google vid, picassa), they are all interconnected so fluidly.
Fun side note: Gmail.com was originally registered as the mail client for Garfield's comic strip.
