Her husband is hoping she'll be released one day and live a good/normal life.

Yes, my mistake, should've said ex.

He's looking forward to visiting with her later today and wishes to hug her, but not sure the hug will be allowed, he shared that he does like being able to talk to her about their children.

I think she is a serial killer that gets to hide behind the title of "Mom". If she was a daycare worker that drown other people's kid she would have been dead by now.

There is something fundamentally different about harming - nonetheless killing - one's own children, though. Even serial killers often express affection for family members.

Randy Yates had testified for the defense in that first trial, and he said Thursday he didn't know why he wasn't asked to testify again.

"In some respects," he said, "I know Andrea better than anybody."

Ya think????? :burning:

He is as culpable as Andrea IMHO

Rusty Yates said that on the day his children died, Andrea had called him and asked him to come home. When he and his mother arrived and learned the news from police officers, he reminded his mother saying that Andrea had filled the bathtub for no apparent reason about a month or so earlier.

"I guess she'd been thinking about this for some time and finally did it," Yates said.

If that is true, I can not imagine why he would stay married to her, nonetheless have kids with her. What's to stop her from lopping off his :gossip: like Bobbitt?

He is sooo guilty. Sounds to me like he had plenty of notice that something was about to happen. He certainly doesn't act to affected by the loss of his children.

She is not a serial killer. She is a mass murderer.

The following are brief definitions of these three types:
  • A serial killer is someone who commits three or more murders over an extended period of time with cooling-off periods in between. In between their crimes, they appear to be quite normal, a state which Hervey Cleckley and Robert Hare call the "mask of sanity." There is sometimes — but not always — a sexual element to the murders.
  • A mass murderer, on the other hand, is an individual who commits multiple murders in a single event and in one location. The perpetrators sometimes commit suicide, meaning knowledge of their state of mind and what triggers their actions is often left to more speculation than fact. Mass murderers who are caught sometimes claim they cannot clearly remember the event.
  • A spree killer commits multiple murders in different locations over a period of time that may vary from a few hours to several days. Unlike serial killers, however, they do not revert to their normal behavior in between slayings.

Thanks for the scary definitions. :jameo: I stand corrected. And now I am a little afraid of you.
