Closed for good? Went up there for breakfast this morning and there's a real estate signs in the window and two homemade CLOSED signs taped to the door. Really sorry to see that happen if true, one of my favorite places for breakfast.

Went to Social instead - first time, last time.

Even Flour up there looks like it's cutting back or something. I've been there innumerable times and there's always been a good variety of breakfast type pastries. I think there were maybe five things in the case this time and the month prior to that.

What was wrong at Social? Besides being slow...

Right up there with ya.

Actually that weren't that slow for what we ordered but it was very crowded, very noisy and the coffee (plain old ordinary house type coffee) was really bitter. I ordered the Maryland bagel I think it's called. It wasn't even toasted. I was thinking that it would be a toasted bagel with the crab dip on it, but then entire thing was cold. Not much of a selection of what I want to eat in the morning. We only ended up there because Old Towne was closed and Flour....don't know what's going on with them.

But that's just me. It was crowded so I assume that people that aren't me like it a lot. I'm more of a greasy spoon diner type person I guess. Not particularly fond of starbucks either.

The woman who owned it was really mean and yelled at her employees constantly. She got over on Linda pretty good also. Issue with Leonardtown is that too many restaurants are opening. Just look at breakfast. There was flower, social, dunkin, and the cafe all right there. Only so many people are going into town for breakfast. Now some lady wants to open up a Bagel ship across from Social and is blasting social media about it. I am not sure how much sense that business model makes. I love leonardtown, but business needs to diversify.

I would go there. My BF and I do breakfast and a field trip every Friday. I think we've hit every place that offers coffee/some sort of breakfast type food and a place to sit within an hours drive for nearly three years now. We're on repeat several times over for all of them. Really looking forward to Scramblers at the old IHOP location. Interesting menu items but doesn't look like it's going to be ready any time soon.
