Maybe some of those soft posts that bend when you hit them could be put up about halfway down the lane so that once they commit they have no choice but to turn right. I hate the people that think they should have the right of way. I don't have a problem with someone that needs to get in but these people ride out the lane to get a few cars ahead. :war:
Dont forget the people on 235 that remember they have to go to Wal-Mart or Target and have to cut across 3 lanes of traffic to make the turn lane at the last minute!

Driving on Route 4 going towards St. Mary's and getting close to the bridge... and here comes the A$$munch that rides in the right turn off lane all the way up to the bridge and cuts over into the left lane in front of everyone at the point where the self-absorbed jerk should have turned off. Anyone else get pi$$ed over that kind of stunt? Or, are any of you that self-absorbed jerk???
I feel better now. Thank you forum for letting me vent.
I drive that stretch pretty often, sometimes more than once a day. Since I live in Solomons and am usually headed for home, I usually am in the right lane to take the exit. I drive about 47 (in the 45 zone) which makes all the would-be drag-racers get into the left lane just to get past me. I suppose that upsets them.

On the rare occasions that I'm gonna go over the bridge, I get into the left lane soon after the light at Pataccident Point Pukeway and drive about 48 or 49 (in the 45 zone) and lotsa folks pass me on the right and I refuse to let it bother me. Hey, if they get awarded a Blue Light Special Coupon, that's their tough banana, not mine. It doesn't make a snicket of difference in my total elapsed travel time.

Wow – that’s exactly what I’ve felt is needed there. I’d even thought about going to the commissioners myself and telling them I’d pay for the soft posts with my own money if they’d just put them in.

It’s a moot point for me now since I just moved out of Calvert. WooHoo!!

Just like at the Walmart in PF. A merge lane is available and people come to a complete stop and then pull out, cross both lanes so they can do a u-turn at the light. You should see the brake lights.......If they would just use the merge lane to get up to speed, all would be good.

That pisses me off too. Or when I'm trying to merge from 231 unto southbound 4 and the car whos behind me coming off 231 sees a break in traffic, even though I've been waiting longer, goes out so I cant get out.So I get stuck for another 5,10 minutes or so. Ive almost gottne run down that way.

Ooh! That's a nasty one because of the very short merge distance! I really don't know what's the safest way to merge in that situation.

Yep – that’s called getting hung out to dry. It’s when you go down those short entrance ramps too far and you have to stop at the end, meanwhile the folks behind you sneak around. I learned about “getting hung out to dry” quickly back when I towed a 10,000 lbs boat around. On ramps like that, I now just stop short and leave no room for others to sneak around.

That might actually be the best way to handle that!

Yep - no doubt. When you have 10,000 lbs on a trailer behind you, it’s a must or else you’ll be hung out forever. It also works in cars. It’s a shame that it has to be that way but…

Oh, please, go to the Commissioners yourself. Like they care. They are more interested in opening a friggin Welcome Center that nobody will go to than taking care of traffic problems.

Wow – I get red feedback from someone saying I’m “So Reckless”. I’m sure it’s from a line-cutter who’s bitter about the fact that so many folks are on to them and their dangerous, ignorant antics.

No wonder I’m so far in the red. I’m a quiet guy who generally speaks up only when it’s politically incorrect to do so.
