Yet another rant about Rte 235

Why is there a green light for traffic out of Gate 1, and also a green left turn for south bound traffic to enter gate 1 when that gate is closed? For the second part, don't say for a U turn onto north bound 235 because a U turn is clearly not permitted.

Because the traffic engineers in St. Mary's have no fickin' clue about anything relating to traffic flow.

Sorry to disagree with you Oz, but the other (most) lights on 235 are time according to the time of day and the day of the week. During a normal work week, the lights are somewhat timed to favor southbound traffic to the base. At about 0830 they shift to a different sequence. In the afternoon (~1530) they shift to another sequence, somewhat favoring the northbound side. On the weekends this pattern is not followed. A slight change to the "chip" at Gate 1 is suggested.

Anyone know where you report damage to the Solomons Bridge? If you travel the bridge on a daily basis you'll notice metal tabs sticking up from the metal joints. Definitely will cut a tire. As a matter of fact, they already have. Motorcyles especially, beware of these little critters. The dayum things should be welded down.

Have you seen the damage from under the bridge? Very frightening when you're traveling under the bridge via boat.

also, the northbound left turn arrow at that intersection doesn't always work. on several occasions I've been stuck trying to make a left onto Pegg and never got a green arrow. this is particularly annoying when the non existant traffic coming out of a LOcKED gate got a green light!
