Here's some more - I think the first picture is neat for color purposes in foreground v. background colors but birds are blurred... here's the finch in question (last pictures) but unfortunately its blured... I was waiting for it to come back then was invaded by grackles and cowbell birds. :frown:
Purple finch. :yay:

I didn't go out and get the bird feeders this year....I just put a line of bird food on the rail of the deck....get lots of birds and then the squirrels show up for the sunflower seeds and if I forget and leave the bag out there, the rest of the bag :ohwell:

That would be a really good place for that squirrel launcher.

But that's not fair to the other birds  But worth the try... here's some pictures I got earlier of the prettier birds before the pigletts showd up  BTW, the redish one... is that a house finch or a purple finch?

The red bird you show in the first set of pics is a Cardinal. the second red bird you show is a purple finch. hope this helps.

The bird to the left starin straight ahead is a Cowbird-not sure w/the other one is. They are voracious eaters!
I actually enjoy it when a huge flock of Grackles land-they are so loud n noisy and do a great job "rooting" up the dirt. :yay:
