Some of the tracks I left in the soybean field this week BEFORE the 5" of rain we've had in the last 24hours.

I'm really tired of rain.

I don't miss the seasonal deluges there. In TX, AZ, etc, the problem is dry - as in so dry you can't slather yourself with enough moisturizer to keep yourself from cracking. You can't drink enough water to stay hydrated. So dry it dries up the rivers. Too bad they can't divvy up with MD.

I wonder, did flooding occur in such epic proportions (50, 100 years ago) in the Port of Leonardtown area prior to the recent "development" ?

I lived in SoMD for 30 years and it was always that way - spring flooding, and again in the fall. Before that I couldn't tell you. I don't see that they're really getting worse over the years but maybe someone else will chime in.

My front yard after the payloader got done with it. The grass wasn't great, but at least it was green.

Heavy equipment does not like weather like this. Been watching the bucket truck this week along Rt235 putting up new cable getting stuck everyday. They really screwed up one yard trying to get close to the pole. The should have already learned their lesson from the day before but no.

What "recent development"? Same old buildings that have always been there...for many decades. Or did you mean in surrounding area? "surrounding area" development was largely responsible for the horrific floods that Ellicott City experienced in recent years, but all that development was at far higher elevations, causing excessive runoff to accumulate down below.

Let me reiterate my post, so that you can stop trying to bully me behind your keyboard, *******. I'm fully aware of the decades old buildings. I'm referring to the "surrounding area". Feel better now?
