Yogi Campground in Luray

Jus Chillin...
We took our new camper on the first trip of the year there this year to 'Wake Up Yogi'....

What kind of info you looking for?

We loved it. The water park stuff wasn't open yet, but over-all, very friendly staff, place was clean, nice open field for the kids to play in. Decent little playground.

If you are taking a camper, the sites are kind of small, but not horrible, I thought Hagerstown was worse.

We actually are renting a cottage. I have a 14 year old and a 10 year old and was wondering if there is enough to keep them busy.

Our trip is mid July. Looks like quite a bit of activities on the website as well. Write back after your trip and let me know. :) Thanks.

We are going next week. Kids are excited. No camper, sleeping in tents. :/

:nono: tent for me, I did that for a weekend once, and then 1 other night... I'll stick to the house on the wheels

I would think so. The water park seems nice. I can't remember if they had paddle boats or not. But Luray Caverns at that age would be fun as well.

 I wish we had a camper. That would be great. I'm hoping this will be the first and last time the kids want to sleep in a tent. First time in the Caverns as well for us.

In My Opinion
Yogi Luray is our favorite in a 2~3 hour range from home. Not that far but its out of Maryland and keeps me from spending disposable income in the state.

Water slide, golf little lake for fishing/paddle boats, game room, community building where they do crafts for kids, 10 minutes from Luray Caverns, 15 minutes from the Skyline drive entrance.

It was sooo HOT but we had a great time. My kids dusted me every chance they got, lol.. They constantly went from the pool to the waterslide to the bounce pillow to mini golf. Our group shared a golf cart so cruising in that around the campgrounds was fun too. My girls are 13 and 10. They didn't do any of the planned activities but they had fun doing everything else. We went to Luray Caverns one day and they seemed to enjoy it. Nice reprieve from the heat and we went tubing one day as well. They absolutely loved that. Very long day though due to the river being so low.

YOU would take MY house on wheels ANYDAY over your posh hotel and resort :neener:

Nope! Not my idea of a vacation:

1) Clean/Pack up the house on wheels to get ready to go.
2) Arrive, unpack everything, set everything up while tripping over everybody else that is running back and forth having a good time.
3) Oh... soon time to leave? Let me start cleaning everything up and packing everything back in again while tripping over everybody else that is running back and forth having a good time while I get things ready to go.
4) Back home from "vacation"... let me unpack everything and clean it all up before I have to go back to work tomorrow. At least I won't be tripping over everybody else cause they are exhausted from all those good times and are back in their perspective rooms in the house.

Not even close to my idea of a relaxing time I don't care how nice the trailer looks.
