Charred hot dogs, just as they're turning a bit black and the skin is beginning to separate. *sigh* No rolls, no condiments, just some potato salad on the side. *sigh*

:coffee:

This. Preferably the hotdogs have been cooked on the perfect stick, found somewhere near the campsite. I want it on a roll, though. Ditto the no condiments. Potato salad would make it heavenly, but in a pinch a handful of potato chips would do.

I did some bruschetta the other day. Ripe tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, splash of olive oil and kosher salt. Spooned on slices of toasted baguette bread. 1 piece is just about right for me to eat in 1-2 bites.

Also had a medley of sausage and kielbasi. With the smoked kielbasa I cut it into chunks then run them on skewers. I like the crisp edges. They go good with a mustard based dip.

Next item to try is going to be grilled pizza dough. Plan on making it like Indian bread. Brushed with oil and once it's turned add some spices and other goodies. I think on a covered grill you could even get some cheese to melt although it would never get truly browned.
