Wow! That is great, I guess we would all maybe spoil our children like that if we could afford too. My son is spoiled too, he is 12, but some things we make him buy on his own. He works with his Dad doing odd jobs ( he has learned to do alot of MAN stuff ( he will be a husband one day and will need to know these things ) He saves his money and that is how he got his Wii.

If I had the money I would spoil my kids
I dont ever see myself having the money though

I was a single mom once with 2 daughters and did not even know how I was going to give them any kind of a Christmas one year. I some how was able to put $5 or $10 each pay day away in savings so that by Christmas I had a little something and the grandparents made up for the rest ( God is Good ). But my son ( Iam much better off today, married to his father almost 13yrs) I felt like you that I would never have much, but my son is so spoiled, sometimes my girls even tell him "you don't know how good you have it"
I spoil my girls now too as much as I can. I don't go over board, can't afford to do that. But one day you will be able to do it to, Just keep trying to better yourself and believe in yourself. My husband has goals and has been working towards them since I met him ( he is awesome ) and he helped me to beileve that life does get better.

Thanks :huggy:

I got them the one main thing they wanted and then a few other smaller things. By the time the grandparents and aunts and uncles get them gifts believe me they are happy little guys

My 7 yr old girl wants Webkinz, Webkinz, and oh yeah, more Webkinz stuff. :lmao: I was actually pleased that everything on her list was inexpensive. Enjoy it while it lasts, huh?

My 5 year old wants a guitar and a Nintendo DS (with the Nintendogs game). When my mom asked my 21 year old brother what he wanted for Christmas, he told her "six shirts". :roflmao:

I am a single Mom, the only thing off that list that I boguht for her was our share ($100) of the limo to the concert. My Mother always goes above and beyond for Christmas, and it's the ONLY time she does all year. It's just my daughter and I down here, all of my family is in NY, they always spoil her with gifts. I on the other hand spoil her with love all year round since that's about all a single mom living in Calvert County can do!

Why does everyone seem to think it's a good thing to spoil your children?

I don't think anyone has said it is a good thing to spoil your child ( and what kind of spoiled do you think we mean? ) I don't believe in just giving my children every single thing they want, like I said, my son saves his money from odd jobs and buys some of the things he wants, some things he never gets and he will ether out grow wanting it or just forget about it when something else comes along..so no he does not get everything. But it sure does feel really good when you can give your children nice things...I dont think any parent would deny that.

I don't want anyone to think my daughter is a spoiled selfish brat. She only asked for the Wii....well, and the tickets but she told me "Mommy I know I'll never get those". She asked for Webkinz and a doll, the rest is extra.
