I don't want anything to think my daughter is a spoiled selfish brat. She only asked for the Wii....well, and the tickets but she told me "Mommy I know I'll never get those". She asked for Webkinz and a doll, the rest is extra.

The limo seems a bit excessive for a 6 year old. Crap, next year you'll have to rent the presidential helo.

yesterday my 21yr old daughter's cat passed away...at that moment I would have sold everything, my house, even the clothes on my back to take away her pain and heart break......that's just what mom's do....now that we are pasted all the first hurt and pain I see that would have been a crazy thing to do...

A limo with 12 people in it. I don't think it's excessive at all. It's not like she gets this every year. This is a special occassion.

I think the point she was trying to make is that she is only 6 years old. A 6 year old doesn't need a limo, thats a little to excessive.

If she does not get big things like this every day, then No it is not being spoiled...she will remember this the rest of her life, Enjoy and never feel bad for giving your child such an awesome gift!!

Well to each his own I guess. To me, knowing I can't and don't do much for her all year long, it's the thought of seeing the excitement on my child's face when she finds out she's going to see Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers in a limo.

What better way are you going to use to take 12 kids to a concert? Besides, it's not your money.

No not $1200!!! There are 4 adults going, so we are splitting it between the 4 of us-$400 for pickup in Dunkirk, drive to dinner in DC, the concert in DC and home.

I went to my first concert at 13. NKOTB at RFK, car to METRO, and the tickets were $20.

My goddness, :faint: all my 16 year old wants is money and my 14 year old said he didn't care. I wanted to get a Wii but can't find one at a reasonable price now. Maybe after christmas for his birthday.

Luckily, our kids are young enough that they don't remember the names of toys they see on TV. In fact, even when boy watches tv, we hardly ever hear "I want that."

They're getting some homemade things, and some smaller toys. We got them a plastic food set, some craft things, and a few other toys. We try to find things that will keep them busy for a while and get them to use their imagination. We know at their mom's house they get things like video games and movies. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but we make sure they get mental stimulation.

Plus, those kids have 2 sets of parents, 4 sets of grandparents, and all kinds of aunts and uncles. They get more stuff than they know what to do with!
