Your Local Hardware Store Saves Christmas

A shameless plug here…

I always send my employees home early on Christmas Eve and I stay till 4 to close the store. Today between 3 and 4, a woman came in looking for 4-1” 8x24 screws to put a toy together because the screws they had in the package with the toy were too long - gotta love the Chinese. We saved that kid’s Christmas! My daughter just sent a text to me to say she saved a kid’s Christmas as well. She saw a post on FB from a parent putting a toy together that had the wrong screws. She sent a message to the parent to say hey - I can meet you at the hardware store so you can get the right screws. She just met the woman about 30 minutes ago at the store - another kid’s Christmas saved!

Oh the irony - a local padunk redneck hardware store saving the Chinese toys ordered online from Amazon and Temu….

Nice to know you carry a great selection of fasteners ... that cheap Chinese junk usually has some thin not normal looking screws

Lowes and Home Depot are NOT going to do that. :yay:
You're lucky if you can find anyone to help you in those places.

On the up side (?), lonely women are purported to be looking for husbands in the Big Box stores.

All the more reason to shop local, support small business. Except when it's "Wear a Speedo to Work Day."

There's not enough brain bleach.

I'm not sure if this is local, or Lowes.

I think you all deserve major kudos for the Facebook post on Christmas Eve offering help. Definitely the best, and why we are in there so often!!!
