I didn't buy anything expensive .... you can't deny though that the prices for damn near everything has jumped quite a bit in the last decade.

Of course it is, but only because of the price of fuel that only rose significantly in the last two years.

I guess taxing everything more would bring the price of everything down pre-1998?

That makes me think... are there any REAL stats out there of the number of people who are actually affected by the financial "crisis"? I want to know how widespread this really is.
