No. Broadcast are not transmitting 1080p. But, it will be the next logical progression for digital television. The only thing is that it will be a feature set of hd-dvd players coming down the line.

I'm not sure its the bandwidth. I think they are trying to free up frequencies in the ranges of the UHF/VHF bands, i.e. channels 2-50. I think they want to use these frequencies for other uses like homeland security and other applications. Also, its much cheaper to run digital programming...

Make sure that your landlines are behind the filters. You shouldn't hear any static after that. The filter are there to filter the static that you are hearing. That static comes from the interaction between the modem and the line.

I wouldn't worry about North Korea! Even if they had a vehicle capable of even reaching the west coast, it wouldn't have the accuracy nor the nuke power to cause any damage. But if you really want to sleep at night, go to google earth, select military installations for the left side of the page...

Hey Mike.. neither have I. But take that firewall away and see how many connections are attempted against your machine. Its dangerous out there. Key phrase: No protection is a no-no! There are bots out there that scan an ip range looking for target machines...automatically!

I hope you don't do any online banking..... Do you have multiple firewalls running? Do you do daily spyware/malware and virus scanning? If I were you, I would wipe the HD clean and start fresh. And BTW, use the email service that is normally provided by your ISP instead of yahoo!
