I caught 3 Nice Yellows out of SML last April...I was surprised because I never knew that Yellow Perch were in that lake. I might just skip trying to catch Yellows at Allens Fresh and Go straight to SML this year..its a heck of alot closer for me...

I have crabbed there before and did pretty good,but that was when the old piers were still there. I didnt think you could fish or crab there now since they fancied the place up.

Another place to try if you dont mind getting wet is down at St. Marys College on the beach where the big wooden cross is. You'll have to walk through the graveyard to get to it,but I used to go there alot to crab and when the water was still fairly warm in October I would get Oysters. Crabbing...

Thats what happens when you use last years rusty hooks..I was using mine but they were still sharp and I gave them a little test to make sure they wouldnt break....LOL

Not yet,but it is about that time again. Tried some Perch fishing Friday but didnt get anything,I dont think the Perch have moved down the rivers from their spawning areas yet. Croakers should be here anytime now though.

Cool,I was wondering about that,I emailed DNR and asked if it had been lifted but I never got a response and I didnt see it as being closed in the fishing regs..Very Cool

What did you catch the trout on?

I go there about once every year in March and sometimes I hit them but alot of times I dont,I didnt get anything last year and it was around mid March. The year before I caught about 3 or 4 there.. Is there any good bait or method to catching them? I've tried minnows and grass shrimp and beetle...
