So the phrasing you left out completely is just trash to you? Because 14A sure as hell reads a whole new way when you just use the parts you want or like.

And you genuinely believe YOU are teaching US? God forbid! No one has any interest in learning how to floss their teeth with the hairs on their a$$, thank you very much

Of course not. As I said it is the 14th amendment so it's not like I was hiding anything. I used the portion that was relevant to our conversation. Go back to pumping gas

And what have you ever contributed other than policing people vocabulary?

And claiming Collusion can only apply to price fixing?

You are not one who should talk about trying to sound right black kettle.

*sigh*

I didn't, but as usual, you miss the subtle nuances of a phrase and build a whole new meaning out of something entirely different. What I said was that in the way you lefties were using "collusion", as a definition it applied to price fixing...aka fixing, or tampering, etc.

You are not the one who should talk about trying to talk correctly, black kettle.

Mmm, yeah, between the two of us?...I really am. And I don't police 'people's' vocab, just yours. It's really petty, I know, but such fun. :poke:

I'm not going to bother to look back to find it but collusion can mean many things having nothing to do with price fixing. That whole post you wrote was one of the stupidest and most ill informed things I've read on this forum since joining and that is really saying something cosindering some of the crap people write on here. So I guess I can kind of see why you stick to policing vocabulary and making little insults. The bigger stuff just goes right over your head

I have a question for you. Were you ok with the direction our country was going? Actually, another question. Would you have been comfortable with Hillary as prez with her socialist agenda? Have you not seen what is happening to socialist countries around the World? And, one more question. What do you consider crap? TIA

And one more thing. This whole bake that cake thing is stupid, i.e., political. If I owned a bake shop, and someone came in that I didn't have good vibes with, I would just say I am booked, sorry, can't do it, and call it a day. That was easy.

I love to bake for fam and friends. It is sad that baking (making cakes, and other yummies ) had to become political. Such is our World. :frown:

The bottom line about living in America is that we have freedom. :patriot: :period:

Yes and that freedom includes receiving service in business's open to the public regardless of your skin color, sex, sexuality , country of origin or religion.

Yes. our country under Obama was a leader on the world stage. When i traveled overseas during Obama's presidency people were so complimentary of what a wonderful example him and his family were to the world. People respected America and we were still seen as the greatest country on earth.

We have quickly been made laughing stock on the world stage. It is apparent to all the world leaders trump has met with that he is incapable and uninterested in doing the hard work of diplomacy. When I travel overseas now the first question people ask is "Did you vote for Trump?" " How did this happen" " what is wrong with him, your country?

CHINA, CHINA is now poised to become the greatest power on earth and the country that other countries try to emulate and work with. Trump's goal is to move us backwards by refocusing on a coal which no one wants anymore and employees fewer people than Arby's does while the rest of the world focuses on the future and cleaner energy sources.
Because he thinks it is a good political strategy.

He wants to take away the protection that Obamacare put in place for our most vulnerable citizens to provide tax cuts to the rich and line the pockets of insurance companies.

He screams about buying made in america yet makes his products in China.

How can you as an american support such a callous scam artist who has only his rich cronies best interest at heart yet claim to want to want the best for our country?

So long as the business agrees, I agree. I ask you again, where is the constitutional authority to have the government control how Citizen A treats Citizen B when no damage occurs (i.e., NOT providing a service that is readily available elsewhere and is not "life and limb")? Clearly, it isn't the 14th amendment.

Of whom are you speaking?

You can ask this question as many different ways as you want but that is not the measure by which these judges have made their decisions so it is irrelevant.

See, here's the thing - as a citizen, I need to think about it all on my own and not trust that the judges are doing the right thing. If I trusted that, Plessy would be law, Dred Scot would be law - SCOTUS settled those things for showing "separate but equal" treatment by the government is fine, and slaves are not citizens. I don't agree with those, or Kelo, or a whole lot of judges' decisions.

This is what good citizens do - they evaluate the laws/guidance and come up with what they think should be the answer, and then they watch to see what the government does. And provides oversight to the government in terms of elections and such.

You believe government is good, so whatever it decides must be right. I do not.

By the way, the answer to my question is that the government does not have that authority :buddies:

That is where you are wrong again. You have looked at the facts and come to decision based on your belief that the government should be smaller.

I come from the belief that the government should ensure its citizens are treated equally.

We will see what the supreme court decides

Treated equally by the government, of course. Treated equally by other citizens, of course not. That's not even feasible.

It seems to work with desegregation? Are you saying it would be easier for people to treat people who were once enslaved by their forefathers equally then to treat a gay couple with some decency?

Wow. It must be awful being a christian.

I don't know how you live with such a burden. Perhaps you'll select Dignitas for your next overseas adventure.

Are you saying desegregation is a success? If so, why do we have "everyone" proms and "black" proms? Why are so many people segregating themselves? Why have multiple cities STILL not desegregated?

Are you saying it would be easier for people to treat people who were once enslaved by their forefathers equally then to treat a gay couple with some decency?

I don't even know where that one came from. You make up a lot of #### in your head.

Wow. It must be awful being a christian.

Actually, it's quite awesome being a Christian. But, are you saying our laws should be based on Christianity, not secular reasons? If so, we have a lot of things we need to change. If you're NOT saying that, what does religion have to do with anything?

I am saying we took a people who were once treated as second class citizens and overnight gave them rights equal to white people agains the wishes of many bigots.
The supreme court is set to do the same in this case and tell bigots once again they they need to be decent human beings to their fellow humans regardless of their prejudices.
