A series I enjoyed and didn't think I would is the Wideacre series by Philippa Gregory. Historical and a bit disturbing but kept me interested.

Not a series but "The Light Between Oceans" by M. L. Stedman was good too. As was "I Couldn't Love You More" by Jillian Medoff.

Here's a new one that they are making into a movie. Warm Bodies. Just finished on my kindle. Pretty good. Not very long, but an easy read. Enjoy.
