Ghosts...

I know several people who say there is something in the basement of the Breton Bay Clubhouse. Seems to be centered around the woman's ####ter.

Well, I was driving down a lonely road one dark and stormy night. When a little girl by the roadside showed up in my headlights. I stopped and she got in back and in a shaky tone. She said: My name is Mary, please won't you take me home?

She must have been so frightened all alone there in the night. There was something strange about her, for her face was deathly white. She sat so pale and quiet in the back seat all alone. I'll never will forget that night I took Mary home.

I pulled into the driveway where she told me to go. Got out to help her from the car and opened up the door. But I just could not believe my eyes 'cause the back seat was bare. I looked all around the car but Mary wasn't there.

A light shone from the porch, someone opened up the door. I asked about the little girl that I was looking for. Then a lady gently smiled and brushed a tear away. She said: It sure was nice of you to go out of your way.

But thirteen years ago today a wreck just down the road. Our darling Mary lost her life and we miss her so. Thank you for your trouble and the kindness you have shone. You're the thirteenth one who's been here bringing Mary home...:shocking:

When my daughter lived over there, she took me to a place called Cry Baby Bridge. She wanted me to , let's say..."test my abilities."

Holy Crap....that place is definitely haunted by at least 2 ghosts! I pretty sure one is a woman who died a horrific death....Much pain. There was also the sound of a baby crying. I think she could tell I felt the presence, so she got a little spooked and we left.

Then she took me to a place called "something Point" where I could feel and smell "old ghosts." They seemed to be in uniforms and seemed to be fighting. I felt that they were fighting for food. Then I felt a COLD air run through me and I knew this place needed to be investigated.

The next night she took me to Port Tobacco....but the only thing I felt there was a dog. I remember it was a BIG dog, too.
They're excavating up in Port Tobacco right now. I friend was signed up to help but had to quit because she was "freaked out by spirits". No clue if she really felt something or maybe just decided excavation wasn't her bag.

I don't know if any of you guys had Mr. Bickle @ Northern High School, but he always told good ghostly stories about the school being built on an old slave graveyard. He said you could hear moans and singing in the school hallways after hours.

He tells a story about a slave in shackles walking down the hallway banging his chains on the lockers while walking down the hallway, said he had on brown short capri like pants w/a tattered white shirt that hung off of his shoulders.

Pretty cool stories he had told us.

Also, a lot of people won't go to Jefferson Patterson Park because of the haunted feelings they get when they are there? I know when my brother lived down there it was always foggy coming down that part of Mackle Road.

Anyone remember when the old hotel was still there? We went in one night. Pretty creepy.

Anyone who is interested in ghost stories should get the book "Weird Maryland" at Borders. Very interesting and all about MD. St. Mary's Co. is in it a few times...mentions Indian Bridge Road and the crying baby at the bridge, the Legend of Molly Dyer, and Pt. Lookout. Other places in PG, very interesting and spooky.
