Ivanka Trump surprised by 'viciousness,' 'ferocity' of father's critics

Who are these average Americans? Have you seen his poll numbers ? Do you think only Trump voters are average Americans?

He may be good in terms of real estate and marketing but do you know how many of his business have failed? How many times he has declared bankruptcy?

As TommyJo has so eloquently pointed out in the past, the big polling organizations poll where the people are. And the people are in the major urban centers. Who lives in the major urban centers??? It's not conservative Republicans.

That would defeat the entire point of the poll. They actually ask a cross action of people not just urban people.

Where do you guys come up with this insanity?

It is my hope that it backfires, and the media again gets egg on its face during the next election cycle.

I'm absolutely convinced this is the case.

With every transparently Anti-Trump story that the media vomits up, I shift a little further into Trump's corner. Every attempt to resist for the sake of resistance (i.e. D.C. and Maryland's Attorneys General today), every time some brain-dead celebrity (I'm looking at you Kathy Griffin and Meryl Streep) tries to be shocking or presumes to lecture me, every half-assed news story, every piece of spin, every time Michael Moore puts his fat little hairball ass in front of a camera telling me what I should think, I move a little further into Trump's corner.

I honest-to-God, expected to spend the next 3-4 years in these forums saying something along the lines of, "Trump sucks, and you people should've voted for someone who didn't suck in the primary".

But every day that goes by, the media alienates me from their agenda a little more, and I find Trump a more and more sympathetic figure.

#### the left.

#### the media.

#### Bernie Sanders.

#### Hillary Clinton.

#### Michael Moore.

And I guaran-goddam-tee that I'm not the only one that feels this way.

I don't know. TommyJo has an Ivy League education in Economics, and plays for your team so you tell us.

Sure. The main reason I voted for him was, he was the only one that was going to beat Hillary.
A small part was definitely - because he riles up the left so much - they stop pretending and show their true colors.

But he gets more and more of my support when I see more and more *odious* behavior from the people and press who think I should trust THEM instead.
I'm not drawn to his ideas as much as I am repulsed by what they say and do. I don't want to be on the same side as them.
I'm not necessarily moving more towards Trump but definitely running as fast as I can away from THEM.

It's kind of like being on a date with a seemingly sweet girl - until she curses at the waitress and bullies the staff.

If they're trying to win me over with their vicious behavior - they're imbeciles.

Your utter pig ignorance is showing..because even that leftwing faux site confirmed exactly what I stated: Trump has never once declared bankruptcy.

You won't even give him credit for the extent to which he tried to keep some of those failing entities going...trying to keep Atlantic City from being nothing but the shiethole you socialist types helped turn it in to in the first place.

900 million in personal liability isn't crap when you are playing in the big games.

Yeah - all that.

And what I find ultimately amusing is that they appear to be completely oblivious to the rebound effect they're causing. Of course you have the loud-mouthed screeching from those who are eating this #### up the same way that cockroaches eat up the #### under the refrigerator, and then they're taking this as affirmation that they will be vindicated in 2020.

And then you have those of us who are not howling like little punk-ass bitches, those of us who are not on the picket-lines, blocking traffic, smacking people upside the head with padlock-infused socks, throwing Molotov cocktails and threatening violence if we can't silence our opposition. We're sitting here, silently keeping score, vomiting in our own mouths watching this cluster####, watching Trump doing - frankly doing exactly what people hired him to do - and watching the obstruction, resistance, the monkey-wrenches, the pains in the asses, the flies in the ointment, the transparent propaganda, the Soros funded witchhunts and everything. Watching and remembering, and the same press and talking heads who, in November, were saying, "Huh? What the hell just happened?", will be saying the same thing in 3.5 years from now.

I never said personal bankruptcy. You did.

That is laughable. He did more to ruin Atlantic City then almost anyone.

There is no rebound effect. Polls clearer show that Trump supporters are doubling down and still supporting the idiot while the rest of the country sees through his crap and realizes he is an idiot.

He is certainly not gaining a significant amount of support and if he ends up losing even a small amount there is no way he will be reeelected

Sappy, I had to correct your spelling and grammar, just to try and make sense of your response, so forgive me...

So in short, the definition of rebound being that one goes from the break-up of one relationship directly into the next is a stretch; but not an unrealistic one.

Why, just in the past few days, CNN posted something NICE about the Donald! And, closer to home, you hear people (well, when you want to hear what they have to say) admitting that "like him or not", the President is making efforts to do what he said he would regardless of the counter-efforts of the Dems to oppose every thing and every person they can. So yeah, it doesn't mean they suddenly wear #MAGA hats and red ties or dresses, but they aren't "seeing through his crap" as much as they are seeing the progbot crap for what IT is.

The only thing Sappy knows about rebounds is that the tallest guy in the NBA gets most of them

Okay well if you want to include "closer to home or things you've heard " then in the last week I've talked to two people who voted for Trump who now see he filled his cabinet with rich people despite claiming he was going to drain the swamp. He also gave more ethics waivers in 4 months then Obama did in 8 years.

Those were their reasons not mine. If you want to use anecdotal incidents then there's another one for you.

If you read polls his support among his voters has declined a little but 57% of the country think he is doing a poor job.

But but you just said in this post http://forums.somd.com/threads/3214...n-and-Obongo-were-let-out-of-the-prison/page2
# 18 that Trump didn't have any rich friends.

So you think the rich people he selected for these positions did not vote for him.

Got dam you are dumb.

Have you heard the term majority? It doesn't mean every single person. It means the largest group of a whole. Read the link. If you did you wouldn't ask stupid questions and make yourself look foolish

To be fair to Sappy, the bulk of the votes for Trump came from hard-working, Americans (folks self-identified as 'American' when asked what race they were), rural folk.

I'm so okay with that. I mean there are some in the wealthy 'elite' circle that voted for him, too. But those are fine exceptions to the rule.

:yay: I said something similar in a recent post. Hard working, patriotic Americans are why Trump is president; and some 'rich' Americans, as well. Most hard working Americans are descended from the original hard working Americans that helped to pioneer, and build America. They love America, and are not trying to change her foundation, as are the leapfrogs. :patriot:
