Jesus was a 30 year old man. He lived a man's life. I hate for this book to be taken out of context. Jesus has sex with His wife in the book. If you are lucky enough to have sex with someone you love it can be spiritual. The Geek Spanker and I have had many beautiful moments.

That's all fine and well. I simply find it creepy that anyone would spend the time to dream up the sex life of Jesus. I also find it creepy that anyone would find it "moving"

It is a love story. When they finally find themselves together it is romantic. He is portrayed as man that makes mistakes and is tormented by His destiny. I found it refreshing because in His time Jesus was a rebel. He did what God told Him to do. It angered many, many people. This book is not the Kama Sutra a la Jesus.

I can deal with a difference of opinion just fine, I think it is classless, tacky and rude to jab and be blasphemous of the deep personal beliefs of religious people, you don't. Why do you get your ass up on your shoulders over someone being religious and believing the bible or someone saying "Let them just believe what they want, what does it hurt"?

Just because you think a difference of opinion or belief is a classless, tacky, rude, blaspemous attack, doesn't make it true. Just like the bible. Just because people believe it, it doesn't make it true.

The DaVinci Code was one thing - that wasn't particularly shocking or salacious. It presented a different viewpoint in a non-offensive manner. But when some heathen like me goes, "Daaaaaamn" over a religious-themed book, then it's probably over the top.

I didn't get "sexually provocative" form Geeks description. Furthermore, I have no problem knowing that anyone has a sexual relationship, whether it be to procreate, or out of an act of love. I don't understand people who have some weird fear of sex. It's what living creatures do.
