The Passion of Mary Magdalen

Jesus was a 30 year old man. He lived a man's life. I hate for this book to be taken out of context. Jesus has sex with His wife in the book. If you are lucky enough to have sex with someone you love it can be spiritual. The Geek Spanker and I have had many beautiful moments.

That's all fine and well. I simply find it creepy that anyone would spend the time to dream up the sex life of Jesus. I also find it creepy that anyone would find it "moving" :twitch:

I dare you to read it Pete :yay:
1. I am with Christy, reading Jesus porn is not a big lure to me.

2. WTF would I want to toss $$ at a person who I feel is disrespectful to religious people?

3. I don't need to read it, I have my beliefs and I don't need some fiction writers influence to stimulate my thinking.

It's like someone writing a fictional account of their parents' sex life. Weird ####.

It is a love story. When they finally find themselves together it is romantic. He is portrayed as man that makes mistakes and is tormented by His destiny. I found it refreshing because in His time Jesus was a rebel. He did what God told Him to do. It angered many, many people. This book is not the Kama Sutra a la Jesus.

You know what is creepy? When my maltipoo tries to hump my cocker spaniel. That is disturbing. :shocking:

It really pizzes you off that I dare disagree with you and that I think wanton disrespectful behavior towards a persons religion is classless doesn't it?

BTW I am not a Christian, I don't posses the same restraint they do. I would punch someone right in the melon if they were so pompous to think they could assault my deep personal beliefs.

Who said I was pissed off? Who's beliefs have been assaulted?

That's like saying my beliefs have been assaulted because someone dare write a book about the rapture (fiction), call it "Left Behind", publish it and make a movie out of it, should offend non christians. Personally, I enjoyed the movie, even bought it, but I wasn't offended by it.

And Pete, I could give a flying #### if you agree or disagree with me. Why do you always get your panties in a bunch over something so harmless as a different opinion?

I thought I detected anger which is why I asked. I am glad it is a flying #### and not a rats ass, at least it is something of value. Who said my panties were in a bunch? I spoke my mind and you disagreed and tried to convince me that it is perfectly fine to be disrespectful of someones "fictitious" religion because to you it is fake.

I can deal with a difference of opinion just fine, I think it is classless, tacky and rude to jab and be blasphemous of the deep personal beliefs of religious people, you don't. Why do you get your ass up on your shoulders over someone being religious and believing the bible or someone saying "Let them just believe what they want, what does it hurt"?

Just because you think a difference of opinion or belief is a classless, tacky, rude, blaspemous attack, doesn't make it true. Just like the bible. Just because people believe it, it doesn't make it true.

The reason I think your panties are in a bunch is because every time someone has a religious difference of opinion or discussion, you can't come to the aid of the good christian fast enough.

Nope. Pete's the one going on about how disrespectful it is to write/read fiction or have different beliefs than christians. I really don't see where anyone's beliefs or values have been attacked or mocked.

Writing a sexually provocative book about Jesus is offensive and mocking, there is no way around it.

The DaVinci Code was one thing - that wasn't particularly shocking or salacious. It presented a different viewpoint in a non-offensive manner. But when some heathen like me goes, "Daaaaaamn" over a religious-themed book, then it's probably over the top.

I didn't get "sexually provocative" form Geeks description. Furthermore, I have no problem knowing that anyone has a sexual relationship, whether it be to procreate, or out of an act of love. I don't understand people who have some weird fear of sex. It's what living creatures do.

And you know that Jesus didn't have sex...how?

In My Opinion
I think I should write a book that shows all women that write about Christs relationships (even though they are made up) as common street whores.

Hmm, I wonder if this "Author" would have a problem with the world knowing she was a common diseise infested slut..
