I remember People Under the Stairs freaked me out when I was younger. But now I don't even remember what happened in the movie.

:yeahthat: People wanted the perfect kid and just started taking kids from the neighborhood and when they didnt live by the "hear no evil speak no evil see no evil" rules they cut their tongues out and threw them under the stairs in the basement.....

My favorite scary movies are the ones that use psychological horror, the ones that lead the viewer to imagine the menace instead of presenting it through special effects. I liked Kubrick's The Shining and The Blair Witch Project. The second one was no cinematic masterpiece but it was very effective.
