So, Jazz, how did it go??

Great! Everything is GORGEOUS. They arrived around 3:30 and were done in about an hour. The entertainment center about killed them. That sucker is HEAVY. I just finished putting all the shelves in the center and rearranging the furniture to my liking. Oh my aching back and legs.

I'm uploading some pictures now. Knowing my crappy dial-up, it will be a couple of hours.

The entertainment center...not in place yet - have to move everything from the old to the new...

I had to unpack all the shelves and hardware, then put it all together. Plus I rearranged the furniture slightly when I realized it really didn't work the way I wanted it to. I'm getting very sore and stiff now, so I think I have a hot date with the jacuzzi tub very shortly.

Thanks! I love it too. I still need to get new rugs and some throw pillows, but I'm very, very pleased with my selections and how it all fits together. I've already taken a short cat nap on the very comfy sofa.

And I see you crammed everything in the kitchen. I did that when the carpet was installed and I totally dreaded having to put everything back, but when it was all done, it was so nice and dusted.

Thank you! Yes, everything is crammed on the counter and elsewhere in the kitchen. It will be straightened up by the end of the weekend.

There are already muddy footprints all over the floor from the delivery men. The cats are hiding and the dogs haven't seen it yet. SURPRISE!

Thanks. I was very careful to measure the spaces where stuff would go and the salesman at VCF (Emanuel) was OUTSTANDING. We actually sat down, drew up the space, and figured out what would or wouldn't fit. I wanted more pieces to the entertainment center but it wouldn't quite fit in the area. The only thing I didn't find was a china hutch, but I'll find one out there somewhere.

Ah, that whirlpool tub is a miracle worker. The aches and pains are fading and I smell wonderfully of apricots and almonds. (Thanks to kwillia for all the smelly stuff for my birthday. ) Now I'm sipping on some wonderful hot chocolate spiked with a shot of rum.
