Marshall’s, much like Zayres, Jamesway and a host of other outlets that sell cheap crap are not quality stores that many like.

They sell name brand stuff, the exact same stuff found in department stores. Difference being, department stores buy from designers and it includes a buy-back clause. The clause says that anything not sold by the store goes back to the designer. Designer doesn't want to sit on it, so they sell to TJ Maxx and Marshalls for cheap. They sometimes buy from department stores that bought too much and don't have a clause.

The problem is a Maryland problem, not a Marshalls problem fyi. Other places I have lived have had Marshalls, Ross, TJ Maxx in really nice areas and they stayed nice. Garbage in Garbage out.

You don't blame the spoon for making someone fat.


I haven't shopped there in awhile, but the only difference between the Marshall's in Waldorf and the Macy's in Waldorf is the price. Neither place is kept up.
