I have one of these too. Used it as a diving knife for years.
I can't imagine it holding up to salt water very well.

The only good part with the Buckmaster is that you can use it like a hatchet as heavy as it is.
My Buckmaster is horrible stainless 304?
I believe they used a 400-series 440 maybe?..so it would hold an edge. That's why they rust so bad..
I've got a half dozen M9s...but the little Browning is so much easier to wear. ;-)
