Is it just me, am I doing something wrong, or does the whole "internet dating' thing just SUCK ?!?!?

I mean, the dating scene around St. Mary's is difficult enough if you are trying to avoid the bar scene, and its not like there are a bunch of clubs in the area, or a lot to do, and God knows there are a butt load of people in the area, so you'd think that the chances of meeting somebody that wasn't a blatent liar, clubbed nearly to death with the ugly stick, looking for a meal ticket, or a total knob would be at least fair.

I mean, I can't be the ONLY single, beautiful :silly: intelligent person out here (Not being vain or anything... ) :neener:

Maybe I'm using the wrong bait... I dunno, I don't want the perfect catch, just a good one... Hey PF, how'd you get hooked?

Went to NC to visit family and see some friends. Eh, so-so trip, didn't go as well as I wanted, but I had a blast. I took my Jetski down to the Outer Banks and tore it up out there, had a blast.

doing the internet dating thing isn't any different, IMO, than going to a bar, grocery store, library, dance club, etc. to meet someone. it's just a different way to meet people without the meat market pressure. i've done it (didn't marry the guy) but it was good while it lasted.

maybe you need to expand your location/distance a bit to get a bigger pool of eligibles.

could kick off a local version of Bachelor/Bachelorette right here :really:

post your 'wish list' and play 20 questions with the candidates. At the end of the week, the forum votes who you go on a date with based on the answers and you both get a "We Met On SOMD" t-shirt. :lol:

think about it ... sponsors could offer a dinner for the lucky pair ... :really:
