You know someone who can “make something of themselves “ today in today’s environment? Give me an example . Prove to me they didn’t get help somewhere.
Your personal failures have obviously colored your view of life.

Don't resort to the strawman argument. Tell us all why people today do not have the CHOICE to persevere and succeed. Of course it is harder for some than others but, it is still

Actually it is my successes and blessings that have. I guess we each have our own definition of what is success and what is failure. I am grateful for both my failures and successes.

So who provided you all that help? It's obvious you didn't make it on your own. You already said that.

I am a human being. It would be pure hubris for me to claim credit for any successes I may have enjoyed. I would have to give the credit to my Creator and Savior who has provided. If you are implying that I have my opinions because I received help from the taxpayer , that would be incorrect. Not that I have to justify to you. Part of it was a good but short military career. I do believe that if a person is vertical in the morning they owe that to God. He didn’t have to let that happen. It could change in an instant and we could wake up without our faculties . He gives us the ability to work. Our means to work could be gone . And He gives us the opportunities we do have. But in an instant it could be gone. Not all are given the same things. He shows us in the red letters how we are to treat one another. Now if you will excuse me.

No they weren’t. They were given the illusion they were great, because they had the benefits of someone else’s free labor. They used an unarmed people who didn’t even have clothes on their backs ,who were disoriented by the way they were brought across the ocean, who neither understood our progression nor our way of life. They were humans of a different color of skin treated and traded like livestock. Any one with no decent morals could profit off of that. It wasn’t difficult.

And while their lazy and profitable owners were making that area of the country “great,” they still couldn’t keep up with the industrial progression of the north.

These “great” human flesh owners almost split this country up because they needed to continue in this fashion. They couldn’t even compete with the north without their slaves. Yeah that’s great and profitable-not. Yeah no, the only freedom they were fighting for was their freedom to own human flesh. And profit off of it. There’s nothing “great” about that.

These slaves were not even taken from conquest but simply bought from traders who went to their country to gather them up, like a crop reaped by treachery.

You are arguing an old lie to someone who’s school system taught the truth long ago. SMH

You aren’t giving anybody anything above the poverty level for them to even begin to “pick themselves up by the boot strap”

There are plenty of white people sucking off of the “gubberment tit” as well, while they are pointing fingers at the blacks.
Whites blacks all colors feed them lies and give them free sh!t they will vote democrat forever and the war was not all about slavery no matter what you say and if it was why do the blacks dislike white people when they set them free.

I bet people like you think that Candace Owens is one of those shiny examples. And that’s why you love her so much. She likes to whistle that tune. But she went to any Ivy League college, was hailed by the NAACP, and then married herself a rich Brit. And now she is everyone’s favorite. She didn’t pick herself up by her boot straps…
Candace did the right thing she did not believe the democrat lies

Got some news for ya'. It wasn't your "Savior and Creator" that was funding your paycheck during your "good but short military career." Can you guess who it was?

I have to admit that I did have a little help. After I won, but then turned down, my full-ride NROTC college scholarship, I did take advantage of the fact that I was eligible to use the survivors education benefit my father's service-related death provided. He was killed about 6 weeks after I was born (1958). It was around $300/month as best I recall...which was a lot of money in the mid 70s. I paid everything left by working two jobs all the way through, graduating 100% debt free.
