Iggy?
I am new to this forum thing and the first mesage I post i get riduculed. I think that is unfair and downright mean. Maybe I was wrong about the nice people. Did your mother tell you that if you did not have anything nice to say then dont say anything? Sorry if I offended anyone but you have to agree that I was not shown a warm welcome to this forum.
Whatever Iggy means......Iggy to you.

Grab a cold 10 oz. and relax, buddy. Its better to make friends than enemies. Sometimes you just need to go into the woods and and set yourself free, you know what I mean?

I think there's only one other place in the country (Missouri?) where you can get the 10-ounces.

St. Mary's local Bud distributor asked for the 10-ounce cans in the 1950s, because they were losing their shirts on the 12-ounces. Too much competition from cheaper beers being brewed in Maryland. By selling the 10-ounce can for the same price as the 12-ounce can of the cheaper stuff, Bud not only competed but became the dominant beer in the county.

I can't stand Bud myself. Way too grainy. I was once called a "beer snob" because I like stuff like Heineken and O'Keefe.

But the 10 oz popularity is growing all the time. You can get 10 oz anywhere in SOMD and the entire eastern shore and not just in the Bud variety. Coors Light just came out with 10oz a few years ago. 10 oz is also popular in the gulf states and Texas and I even heard there are some places in the Caribbean you can get 'em.

The other location in the USA to get a 10 Oz Bud is Texas, where they can them. You're correct as to the reason for the 10 Oz coming into existence. Back then they cost $0.30 a can and Shaffer, Carling and others were selling theirs for $0.25. Bud wouldn't come down on price of the 12 Oz so they dropped quantity.

Maybe if you weren't so ignorant you would have known the reason for the can.

Wow. You know the meaning of a 10oz bud. Give yourself a cookie. Actually, considering the context, sticking with the mini-cookies would be best...

"meaning of 10oz bud." No, there is no meaning you goof, I do however know how the 10 Oz came into existance. You claim that you are educated but really have never shown that you are, maybe your parents need a refund (or retro-active abortion).

Yea, I fell asleep during the 10oz bud lesson in school. Maybe I'll call up my history prof. and ask for the class notes on that one.

It is always amazing the great pride smibs take in the little things they know.

The actual truth about the 10oz bud... We all know smibs like to compare themselves to others not by their intelligence, but by their size and strength. The 10oz buds will of course make their hands look bigger, thus they feel they have an advantage in the "intimidation" category. I mean of course, if someone asks you to step outside to settle an argument, and you look down and see their mits around a 10oz bud, you begin to think that wow, this is one big guy... Maybe I shouldn't mess with him.

Of course you fell a sleep, too busy humping your sister the night before (or was it your Mom). We know inbreeds really come from the southwest mountains of Virginia and migrated to Maryland in a feeble attempt to hide their incestuous ways.
