2008 Harleys

Repete
Why make your own when there are perfectly good ones on the market that are cheaper to buy I suppose.

Just like everything else many parts are imported because American manufacturing is gone.

2008 Buells

The new Buells were introduced too. New model, 1125R, with liquid cooled v-twin. Tis 'bout dayum time Buell broke away from the Harley strangle hold and developed their own motor to fit the frame instead of maxxing out a sporty motor. I never though I'd see the day when Harley loosened their grip and let Erik do it. I love it!!

Don't get me wrong, I love my Buell and it fits my needs perfectly. It's just nice to see the company spreading their wings so to speak, and letting Erik show that he can design a bike that can compete with the likes of a Ducati.

Yeah, gonna have to get one with a skinny butt.

 Ever since buying my first bike, upon meeting a female with possibilities, I can't help but picture her ass on the back of my bikes. That's test #1. If she fails that, the test is over.

Erick SOLD 51% of Buel to HD. Isn't he still the head designer?

I think the number is closer to 98%. yes, he is still the head designer. But When you are given any money to build with, there ain't much you can do. He nailed the frame design, so not much MR&D money is needed for that. If you notice, the new bike, uses the old frame design (of the last 5 years or so) and stuffed it with the new liquid cooled motor, and it's wrapped with some really cool looking plastic...kinda R1-ish looking.

Do I REALLY need 3 motorcycles. Nope. Do I WANT 3 motorcycles...you better believe it.

I've read it’s a specialty built Rotax mill; if so it’s the best thing EB has done in a long time. Hope to see Buell competitive now in AMA Supersport racing! Be nice to root for an American marquee that stood a chance.
