I drive a vette. :ohwell:

haha ok....and why did you buy said Vette considering you're not worried about the way it runs as you've stated? Certainly there are much more comfortable cars you could've purchased for the price you paid for that Corvette.

If ya really want to know, I chased that particular car for about 4 years. It was THE car I wanted and no other. I'm not concerned about comfort..C4's weren't about comfort, it runs awesome, it's gorgeous and it's mine.

Most people buy a Corvette because of the status that goes along with the car. You are either going through a mid-life crisis or retired. Mustangs and Camaros are good cheap fast cars.

I actually want one of those. They are rare around here!!!! :buddies:

Annapolis Mercedes is the local dealer..

In the past you couldn't buy one off the lot, you could test drive one and order one and they'd call you when it came in.

And the Camaro.. Chevy blew it. They should have hired the Mustang designer, because NOTHING about that car brings back memories of a 60 or 70's Camaro, NOTHING retro, and it's just plain Butt FUGLY..

Another car I don't have to worry about running to the dealer to test drive.

Right now though, the Camaro SS is the best bang for the buck going on the market, and you really can't argue that. There is no Mustang in the SS's price range that will even come close to competing with it.

Now, once Chevrolet rolls out a Z-28 model of the Camaro, then perhaps that will be a better price vs. price/hp vs. hp comparison to the GT 500.

And say what you wanna say about either car, but the mere fact that people are even having this discussion should put a smile on the face of anyone who is a fan of American automobiles.

Negative, for the Chevy the Cobalt SS is the best band for the buck... ~22K and it runs high 13's... with the Stage II Chevy kit it dips into the lower 13's.

The Camaro SS has been halted in production until they beef up their drive trains, people are breaking the tranny when they launch them.

Speaking from a bang for the buck perspective, not at all, the Cobalt will match much more expensive machinery.

I haven't been in one, but I can only imange the interior of the Cobalt is up to par with the rest of Chevy's lineup. LOL

But were not talking interior spiffyness here, bang for the buck is strictly how fast you go for the money. Now, if she had said bang for the buck in its class, that would be different, but she didnt qualify it. Right now, the Cobalt SS is a great deal if you want to go fast cheap, amongst new cars, anyway. My old Neon SRT-4 used to be the king of the bang for the buck, but Dodge dropped the ball a little in the shift over to the Caliber for the SRT-4.

Now, in the 2 door muscle car segment, the SS is indeed the best bang for the buck. Oh, and Lastson, last I read, the Z-28 was dead in the water, although I admit my information could be dated.
