2012 Chevy Cruze

In My Opinion
I don't have one and don't know much about them but I stayed in a Holiday Inn one time...

did you know that the Holiday Inn is now reserving the best parking spots for the Cruze?

and for the other question asked me.
No, it was not a toyota anything, I am American, and I will only drive cars that are made by American (or certain other European individuals). I will not make any purchase that send any of my money back to some rice eating country that is still holding a grudge because we dropped a couple M-80s on their rice paper city.

Oh wait, I mean, no, not the Toyota.

Feed the unions! Hooray for TARP!
Tires from china, engine built in Mexico, and the assembly done by guys smoking weed during lunch.

I have a 2011 Cruze Eco w/ 6MT. I love mine. Comfortable, quiet, and has enough power when you need it. I like the audio options (XM, USB, aux input) and bluetooth. Very light controls, including the clutch and shifter.

Also, for the life of my car (36 fill-ups), I'm averaging 40.2 MPG. Granted, a good part of my 14,800 miles so far come from my commute from White Plains to NAS Pax, but that is way better than any other car I've owned.

Are they made in South Korea?

if you will
I was close it's a South Korean/Australian car now manufactured in the US.

I was wondering when the typical SoMD political commentary would begin. You know, GM=Kommunist, foreign content, etc. :killingme

I don't totally understand the GM/Daweoo relationship, or how much of the value of the Cruze is attributable to evil foreign sources. I think Car&Driver or MT said the 2011 Cruze was only 45% "domestic", which I'm not a fan of. But one improvement is that the 2012 engine (at least the 1.4T) is made in USA instead of Austria, like 2011. So the domestic content should be higher in the 2012 car.

The Cruze is indeed one of those global cars sold in many other countries. I'm not sure if "global" cars should be frowned upon. But at least I felt that for a new car, it probably had fewer problems due to it being in other major markets for a year or two.

I won't buy GM just because of the way they treated their privately owned dealerships, picking and choosing who could stay in business and which ones, no matter how long they had been open, had to send their employees to the unemployment line.

Or am I remembering wrong, and it was a foreign owned auto company that did that to American workers?
