One of the men, "Chester"/Chip, was one of my favorite gym teachers throughout elementary school and I used to work with one of his daughters. His wife passed away this past fall after many years of marriage. I'm not making excuses for his behavior by any means, but I can't help but feel sad for him... even after all the good he's done over the years working in the school system, he now has this on his record... just disappointing. :shrug:

You must have gone to the same elem school as my children. I liked Mr. J a lot, and I also would see him at the dump all the time 'picking' trash; mostly out of the metal bin to refurbish, or to make into something else. I know you are not making excuses, and neither am I, but there are reasons good people do dumb things. I feel sad for him, too. And, I know he must be sad. It is just sad.
