3 PG teens stomp immigrant to death; indicted

HeadCase

IT's ALL RED
First of all....

Why would you spend so much time defending something i.e., video games, psychoanalyzing kids behavior and justifying scum of the earth kids on this board when you could be spending that time with your kids? Dont talk to us; talk to your kids....

Second....OM......OM.....OM

take a freakin chill pill

Maybe the kids are too high strung because they see their folks RAGING on forums...:eyebrow:

I can say that because mine are grown and out of the house. :yahoo:

OBTW...They had video games (within reason), watched respectfull movies, ate healthy meals (for the most part) AND I put the FEAR OF GOD in them.....and I MADE them talk to me.

Its called effort and there is no time for laziness or blame.

Do you remember the incident in Texas where the player went missing somewhere on the University grounds wandering through the power plants and storage areas

There was a live LOTR game for groups playing out their fantasies in the woods, but after the fiasco with the "Assassin" live RPG rules, it was prudent to leave the playing inside. I bet you remember that incident, where live players would "hit" other players no matter where. Not a good idea then and especially not now, especially where many are packing heat. For those not in the know, two players, one M,one F, went on a "hit" on a university campus. Being night, they were clothed in dark colors and carrying replica M16's. Both were surprised by an armed security guard who told them to drop their weapons. the F complied but the M dropped to his knees in a fighting stance and was immediately shot by the guard, who unfortunately for the Darwin recipient, was not carrying a replica. I wonder if Steve Jackson had planned for this in his rules.:buttkick:

that was a pretty good flick...
I bet when your friend played that most people were in the know of what was going on. Obviously the security guard involved was neither an RPGr or not a Steve Jackson fan...lol. The idiot who was shot deserved the Darwin award.
Most paintball players do their thing in a sanctioned area or private grounds. In these tense days, actions elsewhere invite reactions not intended.
To get back to topic...somehow people will blame the game not the player(s).The players will blame everything but themselves. The families of the players will insist how good their kids were until they got involved in this "mess".
In other words, NIMFys (not in my family)...... If I had a dollar for every parent who excused bad behavior on the part of their offspring (including my little sister's).....I'd be rolling.......
It's the immigrant's fault.....:whack: He shouldn't have been here so we would be forced kick his sorry arse........

Do you remember the incident in Texas where the player went missing somewhere on the University grounds wandering through the power plants and storage areas thinking he was in a real dungeon, dressed "appropriately" in medieval garb ( complete with wizard staff !) and attacking anyone he encountered as "Orcs and Kobolds" I don't remember his fate, but I do remember the made for TV movie "Monsters and Mazes" which gave rise to the hysteria and misinformation and was based on this incident.

My fate.......I mean his fate was decided when he used Dispel Magic Trigger.
"With this spell the wizard prepares a dispel magic that will activate if a magic effect is triggered within 20 feet of the caster. This will also work on a dispel magic targeted on the caster. Otherwise this spell is exactly as a dispel magic. The trigger is on the caster." FYI Kobolds scare me.
