Too funny, isn't it amazing to see them just hanging out in there? You can see so much when they cooperate. I loved to see my son sucking his thumb or playing with his feet.

When I had mine done, hubby said that our son had my nose. I laughed it off....yeah whatever. :killingme When he was born hubby said, "See, I told you he has your nose". Sure enough, he does. :yahoo:

So I went yesterday, waiting yet again, another hour and 20 minutes in the waiting room...and my doctor gave me ANOTHER form to go and get the 3d/4d but not for another 2 weeks (yes, I had told he that she already gave me the form once)...NOW they are giving me a hard time about getting the FMLA paperwork back... I thought 4 days would be enough time to have them filled out??? MY MISTAKE !

FMLA? I am not familiar with that... Was it something I missed. :cds:

:lmao: I am thinking she means the family medical leave act for time off of work? My co told me I can't do any of that this early..weird.

Oh I see. I had to apply for special Short Term Disability Insurance. I will get 80% of my pay for 6 weeks. 8 weeks if I have a C-Section. :ohwell:

It pretty much took an act of congress to get it approved. :coffee:

FMLA...is in conjuction w/ Short Term Disability, Family Medical Leave Act...basically give you up to 24 weeks off in one calendar year and the company has to guarantee your employment... They also allow you to continue to accrue sick and vacation time while off... but pay is w/ sick leave, and the short term disability... ins stuff... BORING:lalala:

I thought it was 12 weeks in one 12 month period? And if you use up your leave and aren't on STD..you don't accrue your any leave.

:yeahthat: If you are on Leave Without Pay, which is what you are on if you don't have any leave hours left to charge or if you don't have STD, than you don't accrue leave.

THIS STUFF IS SO CONFUSING...
• You have a right under the FMLA for up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave in a 12-month period calculated as:
_____ the calendar year (January — December).
_____ a fixed leave year based on .
_____ the 12-month period measured forward from the date of your first FMLA leave usage.
a "rolling" 12-month period measured backward from the date of any FMLA leave usage.
You have a right under the FMLA for up to 26 weeks of unpaid leave in a single 12-month period to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness. This single 12-month period commenced on

That last part doesn't apply to this thread because a fetus can't enlist.

:lmao: I just read that last part actually... I only saw the 26 weeks and was excited... I guess 12 weeks is still better than nothing !! And I know I have STD. LOL... Gosh they should think of another way to abbreviate Short Term Disability, I remember when we had STD training in my office... WHAT A JOKE !!

You do realize you will most likely be on Leave Without Pay beyond the 6 weeks if natural birth and 8 weeks with c-Section timeframe...right?

I believe STD will no longer pay out beyond the doctor's release.
