97.7

It's not easy being green
Guess the "rock" phase is over already. I just heard Debbie Gibson on 97.7!

Looks like XM may have a new subscriber.

:yeahthat:

After two days of static I was glad it was coming back in, they were playing some crapola until the announcer came on and said something about Eagle 97.7 and I turned it off.

Engineers I work with to call it atmospherics...in the summertime the signals all get all weird. I am sure someone much smarter than I am can explain it.

Wed. July 26th. Still no 97.7. How long does it take to get a radio station back up. The 2 sister stations have been back on since Monday. I smell something fishy here and I hope it's not what I think. If the station changes the format, the owners need to be bombarded with complaints. We finally get a good rock station and have to wonder if it's going to last. And the station isn't for "teens" as someone put it. I'm far from being a teen but I love hearing the old Zeppelin (from when I was a teen - and not just Stairway to Heaven - the good album stuff) to the stuff of today. Not everybody over 40 likes the "oldie" oldies, I'm personally sick of them.
Has Moondog posted since he was fired? Just wondering.

So far, so good this a.m. :yay::yay:

And they were playing music that I like when I was on my way in. :yay:
Haven't had any of that in a while. Hope they keep it up. They might make it back to my 1 preset button.

All they need is a DJ and it'll be like a real radio station again.

That's the one think I don't think they need...mindless babble.

I'm not big on mindless babble, but I do like to hear a DJ. Somehow it makes the station seem a little more personable when you're listening. Friendlier somehow - I dunno.

Plus from time to time they'll play a song that I don't know, it's good to hear, "That was [song] from [band] off their album [album]! It's 8:16 on this humid Thursday. Watch for thunderstorms this afternoon on your ride home. Hang on for a few more minutes and we'll get the news with Awesome F.D. We'll be right back on the Rocket! ... It always pays to shop - at McKays! Where Quality is Discounts Every Daaaay!!!!""

Maybe because that makes it seem like there's more going on over there than someone put a bunch of Mix-CDs together in a CD Changer, and the station is running on auto-pilot.

Why not pick up the phone book and call the station yourself?

If you had asked a month or two ago, Moondog - the morning DJ was a regular in here. He was actively looking for an afternoon DJ.

Maybe try calling Dawn & Boomer (off the air) at 98.3. They're 'sister stations' so they're run by the same people. Maybe they can point you in the right direction.

They're probably going to want a demo tape. So put something together first.

Hey Retard, er Retread...

Why don't you listen to an 8-track or ride home from your job as the overnight manager of the gas station with your head out the window. That way you won't have to worry about our boring show and you might catch a good meal with that gaping hole in your face.

You're out of your element mouth breather.
