I get being annoyed that someone doesn't fill the water, but I don't get the pod thing. Either way, you have to remove a pod. Either yours, or the last person that used it.

Is it weird that I'm almost 50 and have never had coffee?? Or I gag at the smell of coffee grounds or brewing coffee?? :barf:

For me, it depends on the coffee. There are some I absolutely love the aroma of - still don't/won't drink it, because I've tasted it and that's all I needed to know about trying it again.
