I'll ask her about it when I see her tonight. I know the floor is pretty rotten and she knows where to walk and not to. I believe the old store is listed in the Maryland Historical Building list. Doesn't mean a whole lot other than they researched the history of the building. (BTW so is the "Hole")

I ran into her yesterday afternoon and asked her about it.

I respect peoples property.
I do too. That's why I wouldn't go into a place unless it's obviously disused and forgotten - they tend to be the best shooting environments anyhow. And, once in, I would shoot and leave; I wouldn't screw around or vandalize because that would rather defeat the point of admiring the area.

Definitely good photo locations.... a Baltimore photog on a other forum Im on does that quite a bit... his shots are kickass too. Urban Atrophy - Home

Even if it is locked up and the owners live on the same property?

:yay: You should check out this guy's work. He is insanely awesome, and almost exclusively visits abandoned, haunting locations - such as old churches and mental hospitals. He goes between 'straight' photography and working with x-ray effects, color shifts and so forth.

Well... probably not. If it's locked then I would presume it has not been "forgotten" as I said earlier.

I am talking about places like this one old home that is near me. It is apparent that no one has lived there for years, and it's not locked or anything. Quite a few idiots have been in there trashing the place, which has made for some good shots - one of which is framed on a nearby wall, but I've never taken anything from there aside from what I've created.

:yay:Great site, had to bookmark it to go back and look at more. How does he get into some of those places? Guess I need to start taking my camera with me more often.

I think what you're refering to as X-ray effects is done with infra red film. Very neat to play around with. I think my old digital camera (Pentax) had some sort of setting to simulate it.

Your photography is outstanding!!!!! :yahoo:

The seagull, done in B&W looks like work produced in a fine dark room!!! Wonderful example of the many shades of gray, not to mention the "posing" of the gull!!

You have a true photographers eye!!!
Thank you for taking the time to share some of your work!!!!
I am humbled and very impressed!

Yeah, he shoots some very interesting places...I have no idea how he finds them or gets into them though. It would certainly be fun to do :)
