Yes, but by accident!Careful. You'll be branded a hoarder.
That's been my strategy since early spring. My dry/canned goods larder is full, I have 2 fridge freezers, an upright freezer and my small camping freezer full. I froze things like whole loaves of bread, then vacuum sealed them. Bought two small whole turkeys back in Feb, going to take one out for next week and replace it with a "fresh" one. Spare propane, got a delivery of fuel oil back in March when prices were low, a case of Sterno, generators ready, extra gas, 2 tons of pellets....Yep, ditto on changing shopping strategies.
We have adopted “one out — two in” strategy on staples we use all the time : finish one box of Bosquick — buy two.
Over time, that will build up a nice stock of what you actually use, without changing your bills significantly.
No, it sounds like you are practical. I'd rather have too much than not enough! That's been my strategy since early spring. I won't need paper towel or TP for a long long time.

I vacuum seal everything. Extends the life enormously. And then rotate stock. Use the oldest item, replace it.Unless you have a big family most of that hoard will rot before being used IMO.
Ok, that was yesterday. How much left by end of day today? Our stock yesterday at the hardware store...

We look upon that now as a pile of gold. Remember when we used to go thru that much on a single Halloween night?
