I have mixed emotions. If he would never get out, might be a good thing to have his narcissistic butt sit in a cell for the rest of his life and let the nice boys in the jail tend to him.

That's how I feel. The death penalty is too easy for him if he did what he did. If we still invoked slow torture I would be all for it.

I don't think so, Scooter...

Why should other convicts get ANYTHING good out of this?

One ex con was on the tube a few weeks back and asked about this.

He said Scott, because he presumably has the folks money, will get a daddy who will protect him in echange for all kinds of help from cash to access to legal help for their own cases etc, etc, etc.

Burn him at the stake. Give him to Laci's family. 1 hour.

He is broken. Time to fix. Permanently.

Some may disagree with that. Some inmates have more freedom inside than out.:ohwell:

yeah but realistically how much freedom can you have with a dyk stuck up your arse 24/7

Larry...I'm shocked! I figured that as much as you are for the under dog in seemingly unimaginable odds, you'd be one still questioning his guilt. What, no fundraiser for his appeal?

It won't be long before the media fixates on another missing-and/or-murdered-person story where the victim is young, female and attractive. The journalists are thinking with their Petersons.

I wish they fixate on a friend of mine that was found dead in Cali. Maybe something would finally get done about that one.

He'll get the death penalty. Apparently his mother crying on the stand for mercy was what did him in. She's carrying on about her boy ("He a goot boh") while another mother is sitting there with no daughter to share Christmas with ever again. The news dudes said that when the Peterson Mom was up there, the jury kept going back and forth, looking at her, then Laci's Mom. Said the looks on their faces were pretty hard.

He's a done tom turkey.

We'll see. I heard Johnny Cochran is coming in to do a pre game pep talk.
He might do better running their Defense for them. He's good at that. :killingme

While we're at it...

Who would we most like to see announcing Scotts execution?

Dick Vitale? "PTF baby, Prime Time Fryer..."

Katie Couric? "So Scott, how does it feel..."

Keith Jackson? "Whoa, Nellie!"

or....

Howard Dean?

"yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!"

It is Christmas... so keeping with the spirit, I say, let the Grinch do it. It would give the crowd outside the gate before the lever gets dropped, something to sing. It would also make for some interesting T-shirts.

ESPN's Chris Berman: "And he could! go! all! the! way! to! hell!"

NFL Films' John Facenda: "The cavernous hallways of Death Row echo with Scott Peterson's mighty footsteps, as the guards lead him toward the awesome edifice of the electric chair. The iron clamps slam onto his wrists with resounding finality. The unrepentant killer steels himself for the ultimate punishment."

I think he'll get life, simply b/c the jury had such a hard time deliberating. I don't know if I believe in the death penalty or not, but I do know that if I did, I'd want him dead.

When are they supposed to come out with a sentence? I thought it was Thursday but obviously not.

I don't understand the death penalty anyway. I just did a Yahoo search and there are guys who sit on death row for 20 years or more. What seems to be the problem? And if you can live out your natural life on death row, why are liberals so upset at the prospect of it? Sounds like life to me, not death.

What's the point of delivering a death sentence if you're not going to actually kill the guy?

Life with no parole or death doesn't make much difference. Doesn't it average about 20 years before the death penalty is carried out in California? He'll be in there a long time and if it's death he won't be mixed with the GP and will only be outside the cell for one hour a day.
