When are they supposed to come out with a sentence? I thought it was Thursday but obviously not.

I don't understand the death penalty anyway. I just did a Yahoo search and there are guys who sit on death row for 20 years or more. What seems to be the problem? And if you can live out your natural life on death row, why are liberals so upset at the prospect of it? Sounds like life to me, not death.

What's the point of delivering a death sentence if you're not going to actually kill the guy?

Life with no parole or death doesn't make much difference. Doesn't it average about 20 years before the death penalty is carried out in California? He'll be in there a long time and if it's death he won't be mixed with the GP and will only be outside the cell for one hour a day.

Yeah, I just edited my post to add that. I'll bet he'd be dead quicker if they give him life and a cellmate.

Crap, if they just gave him a month in GP it would be a done deal (unless he becomes a favorite quad squad member and then they would keep him around for pleasure).

You misunderstood me. "Good" that he get life in prison so he can suffer. Death would be too easy. On the other hand, people shouldn't have to pay to keep him fed.

I voted for the axe, but feel he should get more than that. Both sounds better, starting with his toes, chop, chop, chop, chop chop, chop; chop, chop, chop, and CHOP. SO on and so forth at Laci's parents leisure untill he is nothing but a stump.Then deep fried and served to lepers. I imagine that is why the maggot who killed the teacher at my daughters school recently offed himself. In this town, people have a way of getting their own revenge..

Some guy on Fox that did time in San Quentin predicted that, if Scott gets life, he'll have to get himself a "Daddy" to keep the other inmates off of him. I thought the interviewer was going to choke to death.

Isn't it weird that inmates, who are supposed to be people who don't think it's wrong to cause suffering to other people, have their own twisted moral code? Odd to think of serial killers and gang assassins thinking themselves better than child killers and pedophiles.

I don't think of it as being wierd. Those that prey upon children are the bottom of the pit in the world of most criminals just as they are in ours.

I find that fact, not only reassuring, but natural. Every circle has a heirarchy. prisons are no exception. You got your TOP DOGS, your BIATCHES, your different GANGS. WHY NOT SEPARATE BETWEEN THE CONVICTIONS?

We do that on the outside, race, education,financial bracket political, or sexual affiliation, even geographical location. Would a prison be different? Becasue they are criminals? That's just another word used to separate people. Some of those people are innocent, some have made mistakes and are getting rehabilitated.

I'd prefer to see the torture that was implemented in the movie Casino. Beat the guy to hell to get information out of him and then when he still wouldn't speak they stuck an ice pick in his balls a few times.

Either that or a Jeff Dahmer 'broom handle to the eye socket' ending will do.

I suspect that Petersen is too pretty for the lockdown crowd not to enjoy his boyish looks for at least a little while. I bet he is praying for the death sentence so that he is isolated from what he knows will be "coming".
