Had a close one today. Right past the 2/4 split at Pushaw Station Road heading north. SUV turning right, vehicle ahead of me clears, SUV coming out, decides at the last second to dart out. Oncoming about 1/10th of a mile, emergency swerve left, then right, then correct to avoid the deputies Explorer parked in the right shoulder. Kept going since there wasnt a crash. Saw the deputy light them up and spin back to the dumbass..... Wish my dashcam was front and rear like my bikes was.

If I may ...
For your consideration ...

The buses at Spring Ridge Middle School run through the Stop Sign at 2:00 quite a bit.

Set up some cameras and record them. Program them to record at the appropriate times. Then send those gross traffic violation videos with those buses full of young people that could possibly be injured by the driver's negligence over to the Sheriff, the Commissioners, and the BOE demanding these drivers be given tickets or fired. What's good for the goose it definitely good for the gander. Because, ya know, it's for the children.

Yeah I see that a lot - once they get that line of busses going they don’t stop for nothing- not even northbound cars.
Is there a Sheriff out there stopping traffic? Our buses did the same leaving the school and one of our Security guys was out on the road doing traffic control.

One of my coworkers friends caught that one on dashcam. Poor guy was pulled over on the shoulder of 5 maybe a 1/10th of a mile after the merge, getting something out of the rear door of his four door pickup when someone hit him from the rear. Photo has him about two feet to the right of the solid white line........
I wonder if we'll get an update on this. I assume the 33 year old that hit him was passing on the shoulder? I didn't know the guy that got hit, but at 66 he should have had lots of years in front of him and the 33 year old...I can't imagine being that young and living with the knowledge that I killed someone. Or being the mother of that young man.

He had to. The picture shows the pick clearly about 2 feet to the right of the solid while line. Impossible to hit unless you were way onto the shoulder.

Drove past a nasty accident scene on Rt 249 when I was leaving Piney Point yesterday afternoon. SUV left straightaway and buried in to high dirt bank and large shrubberies.

I was telling a friend at a party that we have special trees in Southern Maryland. They have "magnetic properties". It is so strong it magetizes vehicles right to it. It pulls them right off of the road. He believed it at first and then he realized I was kidding.

Accidents keep piling up. I guess it has become something we accept as part of the risk. Last Thursday on 235 I was headed North bound in the St. James area. A car came head on in my lane. I got out of the way barely in time. Most people don't survive head ons. Later on and in to the evening on the way home, I observed at least ten vehicles going across the white line and on to the shoulder and back. A guy was driving down the shoulder instead of the road. He eventually came back on the road. Everywhere you turn, you hear on the radio, on line News, the Enterprise and the County Times and even every now and then the Washington D.C. TV stations about a single vehicle that went off of the road in Southern Maryland and hit a tree, a car or a house. Usually folks do not survive these type of accidents.
Another accident today in front of Gate 2 at the Royal Farms. Jeep and another car. No word on any injures or not. The car looked really bad. Separate from that, two days prior, two more vehicles by the Giant at the intersection. Vehicle 1 had its turn signal on informing vehicle 2 it was going to turn to Giant. Therefore vehicle 2 pullled out. But, vehicle 1 decided to remain straight and slammed in to vehicle 2 as a T-Bone type of accident. Young driver of V2 sustained neck and minor head injuries. V1 driver and other passenger had no apparent injuries.

Saw the back side of that picking up my Dominoes..... looked like every piece of equipment from five miles around. I assume a failure to yield.

You forgot about this one in front of Carrolls on Monday. I got thru before the fire department got there to close the road. Looked to me like someone pulled out of Trapp Road in front of southbound car. There seems to be an accident at that intersection every month or 2.
